Tommy Guns

So I just had possibly the best haircut of my life. I'm one of those people, I avoid the hairdresser like the plague. That awkward chat about your weekend and what you do for a living, I hate it. Plus I hate having my long hair trimmed, I want it to long an lustrous ala Kim Kardashian (this will NEVER happen). However I decided enough was enough and I was lucky enough to get to try out the new Tommy Guns inside the Superdry store. The salon was like a mini oasis, cool and chilled out.

Kim cut my hair and we had a great time, a little gossip and just a really nice experience.

The Salon itself has amazing original features and you felt like you were transported back in time.

Originally a barber shop designed & built by Percy Westwood and Joseph Emberton, opened in 1929 within the Austin Reed store and lovingly restored by Tommy Guns, the salon’s original features have been blended with modern twists to create an iconic salon cemented in British heritage. Travertine marble floors, walls of cream vitrolite and original 1930s barber chairs in gleaming chrome sit alongside the original barber shop cabinetry, under deco neon lights that serpentine across the ceiling.

Here's the results - I'm going back!

Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle

So I'm a nail biter, I admit it - so I constantly rely on false nails and gels. A long standing problem I decided that IT MUST STOP!

So I'm trying Sally Hansen's Nailgrowth Miracle Serum - apparently you get 59% longer nails. Did I?

I definitely noticed that they've become stronger and longer - I'm sold.

Freya

So the lovely ladies at Freya asked me to review some of their products.

However I am not very 'appropriate' target audience being that they cater for the larger busted lady. So, my lovely friend has done a guest blog for me -

From an early age I always aspired to be blessed with a larger bust. I idolised the likes of Pamela and Kelly Brook and would parade about the garden with tennis balls pushed into my crop top.

However from my teens onwards this became more of a curse than a blessing. I would jealousyly accompany my friends whilst they picked out pretty delicate bra’s from Topshop. I on the other hand had to go for a more sturdy option which sole purpose was to lift and push into a cleavage. At the end of the day I’d be left with red roar marks on my shoulders and would have spent my day re-adjusting the underwired cups (Which isn’t the most attractive look). And there’s always the fear of the four boob effect.

Until now.. I recently received the Pixie bra by Freya. Firstly the bra itself is pretty and girly and has a definite personality which is rare to find in larger size. But I think the most noticeable change has been the fit. The bra’s silky graduated bra straps sit nicely on your shoulders and under the bust and I have been left free from red marks and has given me (in my opinion) a more pert bust. Winner!

The Pixie collection is available in sizes: 30-38” B-G cup £30 and the co-ordinates XS-XL - £12.50-£14.50.

Christian Louboutin Exhibition

I popped along to the Christian Louboutin Exhibition at the Design Museum on the weekend.

A celebration of 20 years of shoe designs, a wonderful array of shoes were on display - I managed to grab a few snaps before a very aggressive security guard told me no photos!

Here's the few I managed to take.

This video gives you a better feeling for the stunning exhibit

Crazy Angel Tanning Lotion

I hate it, when you go out and smell like biscuits. Isn't dreadfully annoying. Yet we as women decide this is acceptable just so we can be tanned. Well I say, NO MORE!

I got to try out Crazy Angel's tanning lotion - I asked for the darkest shade - and WOW - I got an even tone, and I didn't smell like I should be dunked in tea. RESULT.

It is available here!
